Memorial to the Barnbow Casualties

The Dedication Service for the Memorial to the Barnbow Casualties was held at 3.00pm on Sunday 18th September 2005. (information on the Barnbow Shell Filling Factory)

The Memorial is sited on the central reservation of the dual carriageway where the old tram terminus was near the Crossgates roundabout. Light refreshments were served in the Crossgates Methodist Church Hall afterwards and the Order of Service was put together by 'Churches Together in Leeds 15'.

The Event was attended by local Councillors and descendants of some of the casualties.
