Meeting held on Monday 6th March 1967
BUS SERVICES

A resident of Milton Drive, Scholes complained about the bus from Scholes Station to Leeds via Scholes Lane End being 1/5d instead of 1/2d and the Clerk was to ask the West Yorkshire Bus Company for an explanation of this anomaly.

Meeting held on Monday 24th April 1967
JACK HEAPS' PLAYING FIELD, BARWICK

Arising from requests that some extra facilities be provided the Parish Clerk was to obtain brochures of Playing Field equipment for the members to study at the next meeting.
Councillor Kirk was to arrange for the swings to be painted together with the rocking horse and Mr. Crabtree was to be asked to clear the nettles and cut the grass urgently.

RAKEHILL ROAD FOOTPATH

Councillor Brook reported that the footpath between Scholes and Barwick along Rakehill Road was in good condition and it was RESOLVED that the West Riding County Council be asked to provide a notice forbidding the riding of horses on the footpath so that the surface would not be broken up. At the same time, he was to enquire if they would put up a notice forbidding tipping of refuse along the lane.

Notes:
(1) Meeting held during the lst World War.
(2) The Clerk to the Parish Council.
(3) Footpath to Barnbow including the World War I munitions
factory.
(4) I can find no further details as to the reason for the original request but assume the poles and wire were wanted for fencing of Parish lands.
